This telescope features an 80mm aperture combined with a long 900mm focal length, which is excellent for achieving higher magnifications on planets. The refractor design is simple to use and provides sharp, high-contrast images of the moon's surface. It is a good fit for adults and beginners who want a traditional telescope experience.
The altazimuth mount is straightforward, allowing for easy up-down and left-right movement. This makes it very accessible for those who do not want to deal with the complexity of an equatorial setup. The long tube design helps in reducing certain optical aberrations, providing a cleaner view of bright celestial bodies.
These listings highlight the balance between aperture and focal length for planetary detail. The tripod provides a stable base for the long optical tube, ensuring that the image remains steady during viewing. It is a practical choice for backyard astronomy where the primary targets are the moon and bright planets.
